Apprenticeships: A Win-Win for Worcester's Workforce and Businesses

Research from the Department of Education reveals that 90% of apprentices stay in employment after completing their course, 67% with the same employer. This statistic is a testament to the immense value of apprenticeships. It’s a practical, hands-on approach that blends theory with practice, offering a rich learning curve that leads to a rewarding career. Worcester has embraced this movement, recognising the potential it holds for businesses and employees alike.

Worcester businesses greatly benefit from apprenticeships. For every £1 invested in apprentices, the average return on investment for businesses is £28. Moreover, data from the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership indicates that the region has experienced a steady rise in apprenticeship uptake. Local businesses are tapping into this talent pool, recognising the enormous potential it holds for workforce development and productivity enhancement.
