It offers a robust foundation for a career in team leadership and supervision, particularly within the facilities management sphere, focusing on customer and stakeholder relations.

This tailor-made qualification package includes both the Level 3 Team Leader and Supervisor apprenticeship, as well as the Level 3 IWFM Award. It offers comprehensive training in key leadership and facilities management topics, such as the organisation’s facilities management arrangements, understanding the internal environment, as well as interactions with customers and suppliers. As a team leader or supervisor, you’ll have a pivotal role in developing individuals and motivating your team, optimising their performance, and ensuring their full potential is realised.

Each of these areas is associated with the specific standard and covers topics that are relevant to that industry and profession. The training is a blended learning delivery model, which occurs on the job during working hours. A structured learning and assessment plan is put in place to test core components of the course along the way.

This consists of:

1-to-1 monthly meeting: Approx. two hours with a GLP Trainer (face-to-face or telephone)
Online learning courses and/or group sessions
Building an electronic portfolio of work-related evidence
Maths and English Level 2 (if not previously achieved)
6 hours a week spent working towards your apprenticeship.
End Point Assessment by an external examiner to complete the qualification, consisting of a resourcing project assignment and a professional discussion

To attain the qualification, you will undergo an assessment throughout your apprenticeship, culminating into a final evaluation known as the End Point Assessment (EPA), which can get you a result of a Pass, Distinction, or Fail.

Moreover, the apprentice must have completed the following gateway requirements prior to beginning their EPA:

Obtain a Functional Skills Qualification (if applicable).

End Point Assessment Gateway:

The Facilities Specialist or Team Leader Supervisor EPA is administered by Highfield Qualifications, our designated End Point Assessment organisation (EPAO).

The EPA process commences once the employer confirms that the apprentice consistently meets or exceeds the standards outlined in the occupational standard.

The employer must confirm that they think the apprentice:

Confirms that they are ready to take their EPA

Submit a 500 word project proposal for the project: report with presentation and questions

Submit a portfolio of evidence for the professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence

End Point Assessment:

EPA's typically takes about 3 months and apprentices are required to complete:

Project Proposal: Professional discussion based on a portfolio of evidence

Presentation: Presentation with a Q&A section about the project

The combined score of these methods will provide an overall final grade for the apprenticeship.
