COLOURS

Our colours are as important to us as the logo itself. They’re part of the brand’s personality. We have established four primary colours: GLP Training VIOLET, GLP Training TEAL, GLP Training DEEP BLUE and GLP Training YELLOW.

PRIMARY COLOUR PALETTE

Our colour palette is bright and bold. When used correctly and consistently, our colours help our brand to stand out.

GLP Training VIOLET

is our lead colour

LOGOS

PATTERNS & BACKGROUNDS

“Your brand is what people say about you
when you’re not in the room.”

— Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder

ICONS

Icons are the visual expression of our products, services or tools. Simple, light, sophisticated and friendly, they communicate the core idea or component of the brand. While each icon is visually distinct, all icons should have consistent line weights and visual style. Line weights can be manipulated, but take special care to keep lines light enough that they match other elements on the page.

TYPEFACE

MAIN FONT

MONTSERRAT

Montserrat is our official font and must be used when possible. It’s modern and sophisticated. It feels authentic and familiar. Montserrat is a licensed font and is used in all marketing collateral and the website. This is also the font of our logo.

ALTERNATIVE FONT

OPEN SANS

When Montserrat isn’t available or cannot be used,

Open Sans is a free alternative that closely matches

Montserrat. This is mainly used in PowerPoint and

Keynote presentations and Microsoft templates for things like the letterhead.

TOP TIPS
SPACING_4x.png

Make sure our logo has breathing room.

Don’t crowd it with other images or type.

Don’t print it over a busy or heavily patterned image that limits the logo’s visibility.

Ensure enough breathing space when placing the logo, always allowing for clear space equal to one-half the height of the X in our logo.

PROPORTION_4x.png

Get your colours right.

In most instances, we use a balance of white and violet. We use teal sparingly for impact:

  • To draw the eye to GLP Training

  • To highlight action (e.g., Apply, Register)

  • As an accent colour

ALIGNMENT_4x.png

Don't rotate or invert the logo.

The GLP Training logo should always be shown horizontally and not altered in any way. If you need guidance on a specific use case for the GLP Training logo, please ask Marketing for advice.

TONE OF VOICE

Our tone of voice is key in representing us when we directly engage with our audience, and how we appear in both internal and external communications. It’s how we’re identified, and how we stand out in the larger market.

We hate to say it, but there are a few rules we’d like you to be aware of when you’re communicating about GLP Training.

Rule 1

GLP Training is always singular. You should always write "GLP Training is, GLP Training has. Never GLP Training are or GLP Training have.

Rule 2

If you have to talk about GLP Training, just say GLP Training – not 'GLP', ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’.

Rule 3

When you are writing about the services we offer – use lowercase.

Example: Our engineering services help reduce costs and really add value to your organisation.

When you are writing about courses or products we offer - use uppercase.

Example: Our Property Maintenance Operative Level 2 course is our most popular apprenticeship at the moment.

PHOTOGRAPHY

We have curated a few different photography styles to help express how our people are the core of our business, the environments we work in, and how we incorporate technology into our daily routine.
